"they bring three Tesla Semis, with two being towed on a diesel Semi truck, only to be swapped out when the battery dies the other two Semis on the 500-mile drive"
Total Trevor vibes. I don’t understand after the clearly faked video for FSD in 2016 that this continues to go on BUT I do know that money pays off people.
Hi Motorhead...When you say above that the batteries "burned out", do you mean 'ran out of charge' or do you mean the batteries were destroyed? Battery chemistry is such a tricky thing so I would love to know how much battery life is extinguished from constant use of Super Charging. Also, I would think that driving through southwestern Arizona is not a lifetime extender for these batteries.
Do you have any idea the average lifetime of a Tesla battery?
It sounds as if Pepsi is going through a lot of battery replacements.
Perhaps that former Tesla employee who set up Redwood Materials was a prophet.
I'm pretty sure the batteries have been dying, not running out of juice. The lack of buffers, charging at 750 kW Megachargers, etc. have led to the batteries dying sooner than expected.
All Tesla buyers should opt out of arbitration (there's a form in your delivery documents that explains how), after you return from the doctor and getting your head examined. This frees up your downstream legal options, rather than being bound by Tesla's terms. Several owners have won favorable cases or settlements recently (refund for FSD plus interest, etc.), and you can't do that or join a class action if you didn't opt out of arbitration within 30 days of taking delivery.
These are just stupid comments by old Diesel smell loving trucker folk, who cannot cope with the new form of mobility. Nothing of this is substantiated.
Yes, article says they're not allowed to talk about the Semi. And they're doing it because it's subsidised and they're getting ESG brownie points to assuage their obesity guilt
The facts presented here don't jive with the data from the Run-On-Less program that was just released last month. And the business about the pouch cells REALLY makes no sense! This PepsiCo "employee" doesn't sound credible.
"PepsiCo did a 500-mile trip with the Tesla Semi from California to Phoenix, but it was just for PR purposes. The batteries completely burned out, which is why on PR trips like this, they bring three Tesla Semis, with two being towed on a diesel Semi truck, only to be swapped out when the battery dies the other two Semis on the 500-mile drive."
Hi Motorhead...Slightly off topic here...Has anything happened in Europe related to the Handelsblatt revelations of leaked/compromised personal information from Tesla data systems? I had thought that the European regulators were not quite as feckless as the regulators on this side of the pond, but perhaps I was too hasty in my assessment.
Taking down the power grid is not about capacity, but about a sudden load on the local transformer which is hard to accommodate for on-demand. A lot of computers in a data center power cycling can also take down the grid.

it'll backfire. Not now... but by the end of the decade. I still believe that we'll see #TSLAQ and that Musk will end up in jail
Sue them and bankrupt them, they're not fit person for this and are ripping off taxpayers

Why does Pepsi still tolerate these defective products? Are they under a nondisclosure agreement?

Life is tough!
Brad I think you are very biased on issues related to Elon, I will wait for another party to confirm your allegations
M'Kay.

The Handelsblatt "revelation" was much-a-do-about-nothing. That's why nothing came of it from the regulators.
Copy edit: “speedometer” not “odometer”
